Ybor City, November 5, 2016 — F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Down Syndrome Tampa, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that provides financial and social service support for families impacted by Down Syndrome in the Tampa Bay area, has teamed up with GameTime family entertainment center in Ybor City to raise money by facilitating donations through participation of arts & crafts activities.
On Saturday, November 12th from 11am-3pm, you can join the GameTime fun and give a hand towards a great cause. With just a small donation, you and your family can paint and add your hand print to the store front windows of the popular mega arcade, restaurant & sports bar on E. 8th Ave. at Centro Ybor. Each hand print will be painted in fall colors and designed to look like a turkey in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday. This event is fun for the whole family and a great way to raise awareness and funds with 100% of proceeds going directly to Friends Down Syndrome Tampa.
“We are always looking for ways to reach out into our community, and F.R.I.E.N.D.S. has a purpose that I connect to with a mission to help many families in our community including some of our guests. We are very happy to give a helping hand.” Explains Lynn Thompson, General Manager at GameTime in Tampa.
